@AnneGirlCarrots I’ve never heard of those, but maybe! These are the more modern cheese-veg based gnocchi and not the same thing as the potato dough versions. Remember, gnocchi is a shape, not a recipe.

I know I keep saying this and I need some new material, but I LOVE your channel, your recipes, your personality - everything! And this looks amazing. Another Chef John recipe for me to share and try. Thank you.

@foodwishes So your saying these are more like a Tuscan malfatti and not a Pugliese cavatielli type gnocchi? I’m not trying to pick an argument.. they just don’t look like a traditional gnocchi that i’ve ever seen. I do enjoy your video’s and this one is making me want to get in the kitchen and experiment with my gnocchi comb
Guess that’s the point!
Have a great night.

@AnneGirlCarrots Actually, they’re not waterlogged at all. The outside is wet, but dries off and crisps up in the butter. The inside is light and tender, and would be ruined by kneading flour in. What you described is the exact opposite of what they are supposed to be. These are NOT made with a dough! Please read my blog post!. Thanks!

@possum419
it’s stands for ‘OH MY ROWLING’ XD hehe - a potterhead

You Gnocchi were extremly water logged. You would get a better result if you added some flour to the mixture and kneading it on a board. Then roll the dough out like a snake and cut individual dumplings. Then boil and saute. The base recipe idea sounds good though
