It’s North Carolina Chef John that this inspiration comes from. South Carolina is not known for BBQ. Those of us living in North Carolina really dislike the use of “Carolina” because the states are very different. For instance, in 2008, NC voted for Obama and SC voted for McCain. We have more in common with the Mid-Atlantic than we do with SC. There is no such place as “Carolina”.

@funkyliciousgal08 I’ve always wondered how he would fair on that show. I don’t think it’s the cooking, it’s the intimidation of Chef Ramsey and the fast pace that causes good chefs to look like boneheads. Plus they need some people to act all dramatic so that you can continue to watch the show lol.
