@PhantomAct
If I use oil for cooking fried eggs, chips, Spanish omelette etc (non meaty things) I always re-use the oil.
Meat and fish products I get rid of it.
Thanks for your comms and drop in again!

@OriginalNakedChef Cheers chef. My mum told me to filter the oil and keep it in an old container. I have my doubts. Somehow upon re-use, things got browner faster. Easier to throw the oil and use a fresh batch. Oh well…

@PhantomAct
Depending what I have used oil for cooking, I do sometimes use the oil again. Maybe not fried fied though as it makes everything else fishy tasting.
I guess the other alternative is to recycle the oil. But I know what you mean about waste.

i love frying in a deep pan, especially tempuras or pakoras… but i just hate the amount of oil it wastes. Man i hate waste.

@dragonflychainsaw
I am sure that half the planet would enjoy fish and chips! I love them:))
Fish and chips used to be cheap in the good old days when fish was plentiful. Now it’s becoming a luxury.
Thanks for dropping in and enjoy your fish and chips. The guinness is really nice in the batter!

Just wondering chef, do you do videos on cooking corned silver side, or any meat products. My cooking is ok but with your nous i could be very popular in my household. Might even be able to have a beer when im not cooking…..:)

@ariaripouto
Thanks for letting us know, I love this batter and I am sure your mussells and toheroa tasted great.
As for the beers you have the perfect excuse especially if everyone likes the batter

It took me a long time to find a video this good explaining how to make a tasty fish batter, but I finally found one, tastes delicious, thankyou very much.

@liuzhou
I try and use a small pan otherwise you use more oil. You are right though it was only just big enough. Maybe cooking one at a time would be better
A wok is good too!

Your pan is way too small and you overcrowded it. But you pulled it off! I do mine in the wok.

@chimpanshane
Thats a fair comment!
Although it’s difficault when I have hungry mouths to feed who are waiting for the video to end so they can eat the food

i suggest that you fry the fish one at a time to avoid overcrowded of the pan..and easy to flip..im just sayin : )

@mykal1991
Good Job!
You can try different beers or ales. I have another batter recipe that uses simply fizzy water if you want to view that video.
As time goes on I do intend to do some variations.
Thanks for trying the recipe
