@missiworld go for the real deal! when you cook alcohol it can’t make you drunk or anything! that’s why you can also use wine in sauces etc

@Spenc1726
Well, that’s certainly rude. Many religions impose food restrictions; this was just an honest question about that.

For those of us who are considerably below the drinking age, can we replace the beer with white soda? (Like a ginger ale?)

@AKJY hey you can use beer. don’t worry because when the bread bakes, the entire alcohol will evaporate eventually and the final product won’t contain any alcohol.
FYI: every time you use yeast in dough and let it ferment, the yeast actually transforms some of the carbohydrate in the flour into (simpler) sugar and alcohol. at the later stage, when the dough is baked in the oven, the alcohol produced by the yeast will evaporate and leave the baked bread without alcohol and thus it’s still halal

I use the oven light bulb to keep the dough warm — just remember to turn it on about 10 minutes before preparing.

I once made bread from ale yeast. It was, err…interesting.
